Wasps

How to identify wasps
Wasps typically have a narrow waist, two pairs of wings and a body that may be smooth or relatively slender. Their appearance varies by species.
Where you may find them
Wasps may build nests beneath eaves, around rooflines, in sheds, under decks or in other sheltered locations.
Signs to look for
- Repeated wasp activity near one location.
- Wasps entering and leaving a gap or opening.
- A visible nest attached to a structure or in a sheltered space.
Avoid disturbing a suspected nest. Contact a pest control professional if you are unsure how to proceed.
